Chapel in Minsk

The chapel is located on the territory of the planned St. Spyridon of Trimythous Church at the intersection of Mazurova and Skrypnikova streets in Minsk. The chapel's architecture is consonant with the Byzantine style of the main church, but its decorative elements are more detailed: the façade is decorated with graceful pilasters with carved capitals, edging ornament, and stained glass windows. The planning scheme is extremely simple: the square layout with a semicircular apse from the east symbolizes the earthly - and the dome above it refers to the Heavenly. The outside wall decoration is made of plaster with the use of elements of composite material for natural stone or natural stone itself, the roofing is made of lead.
